Before the internet co-opted everyday life as a marketing tool, photography was deeply personal for me. It served to capture impactful, exciting, intimate moments - sometimes to share with others and sometimes so I’d have something meaningful to look back on. Photography was sincere and it was raw but that got lost somewhere along the way.
The few snapshots here, though admittedly not impressive, are powerful and emotional for me - taken many years ago as a way to bottle the feelings I had staring out over those scenes. They’re emotional and they remind me why I ever wanted to take pictures to begin with. Recently I’ve felt the need to hit reset, so I’m taking a step back to do just that. Thanks for sticking with me.
See you soon, Matthew
